Long story short, the drive where I had set the patcher to download to no longer existed, so the patcher was hanging at "Starting Patch". However since I had the AutoPatch turned on, it also wouldn't let me go into the settings to change the location. Luckily I found that you can go into the Patcher config file and set AutoPatch to False, which then let me change the location.

So, maybe the patcher needs to be changed so that if it can't find the location it prompts the user for a new location instead of hanging?
