I got tired of playing Ravenwarrior online. I don't have a lot of faith in PGI right now since the first thing I see upon my return is something about P2W. (though it looks like they're backing away from that).
A couple questions that will determine my return, if you guys don't mind answering...
Is ECM still broken? (If you never thought it was broken, you don't get to answer this one. It took all the skill out of running for cover and made non-ecm mechs unplayable)
Is the net code any better?

So... I Took A 3 Month Break.

ECM is strong as always.
Net code was massively improved. You can now kill light mechs with ease.

Netcode for lasers appear to be great now. PPCs cancel ECM and TAG goes out to 750. Sensor modules increase your leeway to target ECM mechs go give you a 70m or so leeway for SSRM locks.
The Coolant/Consumable issue aside, it's a very good patch. It really costs you nothing other than like 15-20 minutes to try out the new features for yourself.

ecm did get a bit easier if you carry ppc. for the most part you can't just rely on your instruments like before ecm;
you need to use those vision modes and do recon work, preferably with direct fire weapons

ECM is still as strong as the noobs on your side. Last week I won a match were we didn't had any ECM. The enemy had 4 ECM mechs ;-)
Netcode has improved a lot. But it is still dodgy against fast lights (3L with ECM seems the worst offender here) State rewind made laser (and flamers and MGs
) a valuable tool against lights.
We have a new map, new mechs and new balancing (PPC are cool again xD). MG's still suck xD

It was rainbows and butterflies back then.
Welcome to the pay-to-flush mechpocalypse. "Learn to pay noob. You got out-flushed noob. You got out-payed noob." Coming to an MWO match near you.

Last post is just asinine, people really need to chill on the Large coolant flush and just not buy it.
The cbill version is going to be the main one used. I'll take 20% coolant flush for 7500cbills over 35% for 25MC. 15% is not that big of a difference and I'm still just using 1 module slot.
OP: netcode is getting worked out in stages, last few patches have been great. All other major features are waiting on the netcode, once that is locked down we should start seeing more about CW etc

Don't come back. Already too many noobs, don't need anymore of them especially ones who can't handle a single ecm on enemy.

Welcome back,
As one of the "noobs" mentioned throughout this thread, I would hope that the attitude was far better three months ago. I dont know much of the changes to have happend in that time but its always good to see people comming back to a game after a break.
