Okay, so I bought some MC, got some paint, mech bays and premium time. Even had enough left over to convert about 1500 Mech XP over to GXP.
It seems that I have a measly twenty MC left but nothing to spend it on, rather, there is nothing that I can spend that little MC on.

With the super jacked up prices that you guys are charging for MC I should be able to spend them one at a time if I so desire. Now I'm not asking for you guys to run in and add a bunch of cheap **** but what I would like you to do is re-work the XP to GXP conversions so that it would be possible for me to spend every last shred of MC that I used my real money to purchase.

Sounds reasonable, doesn't it?

UPDATE: Ok so apparently the only way to spend small amounts of MC on the XP conversion are to be converting XP from a mech that has less than about 75k xp. Was trying to convert XP off my Catapult which has nearest makes no difference 500,000 XP.

I'd still call that broken.

Stay tuned. The consumable modules will be the lowest price point item to spend on. The coolant flush module will be available for 15 http://mwomercs.com/...drawing-board/. (The other 5 leftover might still be a problem)

They need to change that ******** XP converter so you can move it incrementally.

Edit: What, I can't say [Redacted] ?

Edit 2: It wasn't even a bad word!!!!! :)

The other 5 could be spent on more GXP, if you can get the slider on 5.

That's the problem, I think the least that you can spend on the conversion is 60 some.

It's possible to do (as one who spent time doing so days ago) it just takes very, very slight mouse movement.

but then how would they sucker you into wasting $666 more dollars on their permanent man-child moneymilker beta?

aside: still can't send chat with numpad enter. enter is enter but also not enter -- PURE GENIUS.

FIVE MILLION DOLLARS BABY, WOO!!!!

Well that's funny because I just checked and even with the most miniscule movements, the least I can spend on the conversion is 63.

You have to add it manually as a second key :)

this is marketing trick, mc pricing and mc packages are set so you are always left with some mc so you are more eager to buy even more mc and on... if i recall correctly microsoft was sued over similar thing with xbox live points

its dirty trick and you end up spending more on microtransactions than any other average game you ever would buy

I certainly have already spent a lot more money than I would have on a boxed retail game. I'd guess I'm probably about US$350 in so far. Kinda crazy when you think about it.

Yes, it is crazy. The pricing structure for F2P games is so out of whack that it simply amazes me. What amazes me more is the number of people without enough common sense to see that they are paying $300+ for a game that would have retailed for $60 at most.

Not only that, but hopefully the developers realize that when their customers have put in significantly more money, they are then responsible to ensure the content continues in a good direction, else they will engender significantly more ill will if things go south. Really, good luck ever getting people who have spent hundreds of dollars on this product to ever buy into a future product if this one dies an untimely death or they somehow screw this one up. It's not as quickly or easily forgiveable as a $40-$50 game.

I guess the counterpoint would be that a MWO game wouldn't exist at all without the current business model. From what I understand, it's really hard for traditional "retail box" games to make a profit these days. So perhaps the choice in the future is micro transaction-based gaming or no game at all.
