As far as I can tell this is not 100% reproducible. For giggles I just did attempted this in testing grounds (and discovered you cannot), but I played a match afterwards and did this at the start, and I asked people to give it a shot. Like clockwork, I should down. No one reported that they did.
Anyway, this happens quite consistently (as far as I can tell, it always occurs to me on the first attempt of the match), and it has gotten me into trouble a few times (typing "help" caused me to shut down and stand in place so a 3L could decimate my read armor).
