I've decided to stop raging and accepted the fact that the game is currently dominated by little vampires. The responsibility falls not on the game developers, but onto the players to deal with them. The best vampire hunters are of course other vampires, but historically there have been hunters that chose not to sell their soul but rather hunt the lesser vampires as mortals albeit augmented with some superhuman abilities and specialized weapons.

I've converted a lance of mechs into Vampire Hunters. It is their mission to hunt these lesser demons. As a rule, they are rather mobile and maneuverable for their class of mechs, but not necessarily XL as this carries risk for the hunter. They are all augmented with ES, FF, and DHS. Their weaponry is a standard build of 1-2 PPC's, 2-3 streak SRM2's. This is augmented by advanced sensors, advanced target lock decay, and TAG linked to streak missile lock. When not employed in hunting vampires, they are effective in hunting other small creatures or just doubling as snipers as an alternate occupation. The mastered vampire hunter can take 360 target lock or advanced zoom as a third module tech.

Right now there is enough work for about two vampire hunters per drop. Maybe when the vampire population is brought under control, there will be no need for more than one hunter.

Lots of mechs fulfill criteria as potential hunters of the vampire. It just takes 2-3 beam hardpoints and 2-3 missile hardpoints for the vampire hunter build. My current squad of hunters include Awesome 9M and Pretty Baby, Dragon 1N (a specialized hunter with dual AC2's linked to an ERPPC), Trebs 7M and 3C. But my favorite hunter is a Cent 9AL. He looks the gothic part a bit reminiscent of Vampire Hunter D. His primary weapon is a double barrel PPC in right arm with TAG and streak SRMs in his torso, a standard 270 engine, and 96 kph top speed. He is like a hunter version of the YLW hero.

Naturally. Vampires abhor hunters as their nemesis. They seek to destroy them and as quickly as possible, even ganging up on the hunter in groups. It has always been so. If you seek the opinion of seasoned hunters like D or the Witcher Geralt, they will admit that vampires have always been formidable for a hunter even in the best of circumstances. If facing multiple vampires at once, the situation is dire indeed.

PPCs and SSRMs mix is definitely harder to use against a pack of ECM lights compared just actually not worrying about their ECM, and just brute force gunning them with guaranteed to cause a bad day weapons, like MBL, SRM, gauss etc.
