Hi everyone
Sorry if this has been answered before, but I can seem to find this info and it may help other new players.
I have been playing for a few months .. great game, but mostly been doing PUGS.
As all is required is clicking launch ..
I noticed that there is a social button ... but when i click it there are no rooms....
Did i miss something ... how do you find people to play with ..
I tried creatng a group hoping it would auto populate .... yeah basically wasted 20 minutes than felt like a moron ...
I was invited once .. and added friends .. but they are never on when I am ... so I was hoping to find another group to play with ....
Not even sure how they found me to begin with...
Is there a button I can click to see who is logged on ..
or do I have to copy names down while I am playing and like some sorta creeppy dude send them a message(which i dont know how to do yet)... do u wanna play with me ??
Any advise would be helpful .. I know my faction says lone wolf but ...ah i prefer to play in a team...
I am a pretty active player .. on every other night for 30 min- afew hours ..
have elite for ravens and cents and now working on catapults ..
I dont mind playing any role .. scouting, support, etc.. just tell me what you need and Ill do it...
I average between 100-500 damage and o-5 kills depedning on drop and mech i use...
id say I am decent with lasers, srm, ssrm and lrm,
once i get cat k2 will be working on using balisitics and sniping weapons ...
my in game name is Lifeline975
As I am wokring and living in China .. my hours are +8 GM time ...
I am a Canadian expat ..
Looking to be part of a group, clan ....
thanks in advance for the input

There are a few options out there for you. These are however not in game for the time being and you need to mostly have a third party software like teamspeak installed.
For "guilds" called merc corps or house units you can check out:
http://mwomercs.com/...um/60-outreach/
For the unofficial "anyone can just drop in" community run voice-chat servers you can go to:
http://mwomercs.com/...e-chat-servers/
I would suggest an australasian merc corp or something similar

There are "plans" for a much easier experience for players through typical lobbies and such, but those are a ways away.
Do check out the above. They are good places. Alternatively when doing well, you might get invited by a group. Just depends on how things go and what match you're in and with who.
I especially recommend the comstar teamspeaks if they still run.

Thank you Edustaja
I will try this as soon as I get home from work.
I was a little concerned about lag ... hopefully another program like teamspeak wont cause more lag for me.
Either way thanks .. will start looking into finding a consistant group...
.. holy crap there is like 46 pages of groups ...
let the search begin

Teamspeak shouldn't take much of your bandwith. I have a 2 MBit connection and have no problems with running MWO and teasmpeak at the same time. It's usually a lot better than the in game voice chat services even for games like Planetside 2.

I recommend the comstar NA and NGNG Outreach severs to start with. These chat servers offer both casual pick-up groups and organized mercs looking for members and are busy enough you should always be able to find someone to play with. http://mwomercs.com/...e-chat-servers/

I play from Western Australia with ~300 ping and TS3 doesn't make any noticeable difference. See this thread for a guide regarding grouping up - it will make MWO a whole new game.

If you need people to add, you can check out Osiris1975's Casual Grouping Thread (no VOIP). Suggest you skip to the last page after reading the first post, an updated list of all the pilot pool is usually posted every 2 weeks or so.
The list of pilots is almost 300 (sorry, mis-remembered)over 400+ and most are still active as far as the forums are concerned at least
Some use VOIP, some don't and your mileage may vary but its a easy way to start. Main VOIP used is TS3 & C3.
PM me if you need any help
