Right in the middle of your face. Any chance to lower this indicator to be 1-3 feet from the ground around the mechs ankles? really can mess with aiming from the base pad, and imho is more annoying than cool because of this, still I love the lasers much better than the pad before.

Those lasers are irritating many people. Pls stick to the old pad. Or put something like a colored light onto the platform (red or blue)

Maybe attaching the laser system to the actual platform or base is the best way to go ... but we need to see the pad. the old pad was non-immersive, the new one is better.

maybe adding force fields that are just knee high on the mechs...something for the infantry/civilians and adding those?

A coloured beacon (think: lighthouse) would be pretty cool. Especially if it rotated.

they didnt have to put up a dang laser fence to begin with.. If they had learned to make the dang base cap area noticible in the first place, they wouldnt have had to F**k With $H!7 they didnt have to.

Agreed. It's a bit distracting when it appears to be a mlaser hitting you in the face.

Face high laserfence in a game which forces one to use heat vision in many maps = just plain stupid game design. Fighting near bases are very irritating now. :) Just when I thought River City Night couldn't get any worse...

I liked old one better. You can see at the top off the screen which points are been taken. These new beams are just ridiculous. If you have to keep them, then put them much lower near the ground.
Roll back preferably.

These laser fences should be lowered to about knee-height, rather than up in the air.

I agree the laser light boundaries are a bit distracting. I like the idea of colored lights ON the base it self. It's reminiscent of a really bad rave when people are fighting in that area, green/blue/red lasers firing from mechs and then seeing the laser boundaries.

No sir, I am not a fan.

Couple of them aren't even level, the lasers are pointing at all odd angles, looks pretty bad.

I like the new laser fence (so you can see cap points from a distance) but yeah if your in a light mech i could see that being annoying. Assult mechs cockpits are higher than the fence so maybe just a testing issue? half its current height would be good but then the fence posts would need to be shrunk also.

On that note i didnt check last time but are the fence posts actually solid objects? if so they should probably be removed.

No they are not solid (as intended) but changing them to be more holographic to reflect the non-solidness might be a good idea.

TBH when I first read about the cap lasers I thought they would have been beams pointing into the sky (like someone firing lasers into the air) so you could see them from almost anywhere on the map, or just the top of the cap building had lights on it etc.

Not sure which I would really prefer, but lowering the laser fences would be ok by me for now.

(Now that I think about it, they would also be an interesting base wall or funnel. Basically Laser fences when passed through could cause dmg etc, like pseudo walls that you can pass through, but with a penalty, and could be near certain building complexes etc etc once we get full on bases....)

yes, they also are too bright and noticeable. They don't need to be like medium lasers, tag would be fine.

They should be using lighted pylons, if anything. Example image (large):
