This has happened a couple of times now. I don't remember if everyone had a gauss rifle but this is what happened last game:

2x Gauss Catapult vs. me in SRM trebuchet. Shoot a few alphas in the torso -> destroy both gauss rifles -> wait a sec -> catapult explodes and leaves a smokey shell of a mech left. I do NOT know if he died from Gauss explosion or ammo explosion. Also, I did not see him disconnecting before death.

No message of a kill and at the end screen I only had 1 kill, which I did later in the round.
