Use the setup wizard of teamspeak to make sure your equipment works.
Set up a push-to-talk key. Mouse wheel or alt buttons seem to work well. I use the q-button.
Nobody wants to hear the noises in the background or you chewing and coughing.

Connect to either to the comstar servers or the No guts no galaxy server.
Double click on a channel either called "help" or looking for group.

Wait for somebody to come pick you up.

Send friend invite to whoever is running the group from the social menu. Wait for a group invite and accept it when it comes.
After that press the "not ready" button so it says "ready" instead. You can see your group in the social -> group tab.

Wait for the group to launch and have fun.

IS your mic working correctly? If yuo go into the Options and selct Capture you can do a mic test.

While youre in the options, you will want to select a Push To Talk key (such as left shift, left alt, or some other key within easy reach)

In many cases you'll need to run Ts3 "As administrator" in order to use your push to talk while playing a game.

As for "what dropship", that will vary depending on which server you are using. Many are labeled for their purpose otherwise if it says 'dropship' with a number, just pick one.

Run it in administrator mode.

Are you usually on at certain times of the day? You may just be going in during off hours. I'm sure you could just drop into any "dropship" with people in it and ask if they have any open spots and they'd be happy to let you join if they do.
