If you die and quit a match to launch another mech and play another round do you still get the XP and C-Bills?

Yes... But if I catch you suiciding just to get more XP/CBills I will personally haunt you... forever.

The critical point is "If you die," and the answer is yes.

No, its just that i dont want to sit and do nothing. If i could team chat while i am dead i would want to stay in the mach. But its more i want to keep playing and not watching, I only have a light mech right now.

Ya the system has a sensor that detects it too. So be careful or you'll be banned. (cough)

If you die and decide to leave the match, yes, you will still get paid. you will not be paid right away, and the mech you used will be locked until that match is complete. If you die almost immediately in the match and do not perform any useful actions, don't expect much of a paycheck (if you die immediately and did not help your team to win, it looks like you are 'farming' and you may recieve no rewards)

You will be paid after the match ends; you may need to reset the client to see your currency go up (either by logging off, or just go play another match!). You can test this yourself with a pen and paper, write down your c-bills and then go play some matches!

You can team chat while dead as well.

Good to hear, unfortunately you are one of very few who feel that way.

I'd say 90% of the time after death chat function does not work at all.....

I reported this in closed beta.. but seriously they really aren't concerned about any social interaction in this game :P

If you want to learn something. Take the option and get a look of other Teammembers. How there perform with different mechs, how there equip there mechs, how there take the risk to shootdown, overheat or manover in the enemy cap zone. I do this and I like to watch and learn.

cheers

I noticed that after dying, the chat you type doesn't appear as you type it, it only appears (all at once) after you hit Enter. If you're typing right as you die or immediately beforehand it often seems to glitch and spit out part of a sentence or part of a word, then works normally after.

Agreed this is how I learned to play in closed beta, and how I continue to learn new tactics and weapon suggestions for my mechs. There are alot of advantages to spectator mode. And to the other issue I have never had a problem chatting while in spectator but thats just me and does not represent all issues that all pilots will face.

Well said there Frodo and Swyftfire! I too got better from watching games after I died. BUT.... PLEASE people, don't assume everyone who dies quickly is a suicide farmer! Sometimes, we just suck! LMAO! I saw someone call me a sucide jockey on the team chat one night. Thank god I saw it. I stuck out the whole match from spectator cam, and was like "no, I'm just not very good yet!" Besides, if you are in a Commando at ALL, you look like a suicide pilot! LOL!
