Here's an option that gives each side a completely different task.

One side is tasked with defending a convoy of trucks that has to travel from one side of the map to the other.

The other side is tasked with completely destroying said convoy (more difficult than it sounds as there are multiple, heavily armored vehicles within the convoy).

Methods of winning for the Defending team:
Have at least 25% of the convoy arrive safely at the destination.
Destroy all enemy mechs.

Methods of winning for the Assault team:
Destroy at least 75% of the convoy.

---------------------------------------------------

Alternately, instead of a convoy travelling from one destination to another, one side could defend a drop-ship while the other side is tasked with destroying said drop-ship.
Win situations:
Defending team:
Prevent drop-ship from being destroyed (15-minute timer till ship launches).
Destroy all enemy mechs.

Attacking team:
Destroy drop-ship before it can launch

I like this idea! I was going to suggest something similar. You could even mix it up a bit - sometimes it's a convoy, sometimes a dropship, othertimes you're defending a base while civilians evacuate, (etc).

The common theme with all those modes though is the timeframe. Another non-timed option would be to defend a city, as we don't really have all that much in the way of proper full-urban combat as yet. The attacking team would have to inflict X amount of damage on a city, with the defending team trying to stop them. The attacking team's goals would be: "Inflict X % damage (or destroy X buildings) or destroy all defenders", while the defenders would simply be "destroy all attackers"
