Hi all. Been a while...I have been working on a Daishi in 1/60 scale. It stands about 10" tall. It still needs some tweaking and detail work, but overall I am happy with the progress.

Cool man. Picked my favorite mech. Some pictures showing sense of scale would help. I hope to see some awesome dioramas of mech battles and things being blown up

Well, this one ended up being kitted as is at the casters as we speak. Here are some pics of the pieces that would come with a kit.

So you are modeling and producing kits which you sell at a profit I would imagine. All this using a copyrighted design not owned by you... Hows that work?

I'm interested in designing some t-shirts not MWO inspired but the copyright laws seem to stop many ideas out of the gate.

It's his hobby, not a source of reliable income. Basically, he makes them for himself to look at and likes it. He can also make them for other people that would also like to have them, but can't make them themsleves and so on...

In the most basic version, noone cares about a simple model being built and passed between people. :P

Profit???? Hardly, my friend. I usually break even and that is it. Heck, just to get molds made can cost $1000 or more. Then, there is the resin to cast them. In this case, I had a regular who fronted about 40% of the upfront costs. Then, I did a pre-order to build the funds needed. If I sell 20, I may make a couple hundred dollars...bear in mind that does not count the supplies to make it nor my time. In the case of the last kit I did make a couple hundred dollars....most of which went into this kit.

Lately I have made and sold some one-of-a-kind builds, but that is to help with some medical bills.

This is more of a fan movement that a profit making business.

I have posted here and over at BattleCorps and no one has ever said a thing, so I am guessing the powers that be see it for what it is...fans making art and keeping the fire alive.

As a Mech model builder myself i can vouch for the no profit aspect of this hobby.
The time that goes into these things cant be paid for.

Your latest looks great as usual mate
