From Paul's Consumables CC post...

Posted Image

And comparing against the image on the Sarna wiki...

http://www.sarna.net...pace_Fighter%29

... I conclude that is an Eagle ASF! (any disagreements? )

So, this begs the question... are we going to see Eagles everytime we call an airstrike or will we see faction-specific ASFs? :D

I think you may be right. The sillhouette is pretty much spot on.

I'm just going to be happy if we see the dropping ASF at all.

At least they're not using the dive bombing rules from Aero-tech. Bomb-scatter can be a stone-cold female canine.

I dream of the day a game is designed where we have aerospace fighter pilots, dropship pilots, maybe even warship pilots. The battles would start out in space and depending on the outcome, we get rdy for the ground action. Basically the full invasion routine in either segments or in one smooth flow. AHHHHHHH wat a dream! For the time being, this looks sexy enough :D

I never, never want to see drop-ship pilots. It'd be like that one guy who always jumps into the warthog (yeah, I've played Halo before: Deal with it) and then promptly drives you off a cliff because it's his first time and he doesn't know what he's doing (or he's just a troll).

Can you imagine just looking out the window and wondering if your pilot is driving you into the sun out of malicious intent or sheer stupidity, and which one makes you feel worse about it?

I hope/wish the airstrike wasn't just bombs, but an actual strafing run with lasers, autocannons and missiles. I'll take bombs for now though :D and:
