i put it on my hb4sp and it was worth for 2 srm6, it's even effective at max range and close up u can aim them.

If you take it on the A1 with 6 launchers Artemis eats 6 tons of your weight and i think its not worth 6 tons of weight.
If you have the C1 its an option as it only takes 2 tons and that is ok.

My primary mech is an A1 with 6xSRM6's

If you don't take it be prepared to lose to every SRM boat that does take it.

Its a must have upgrade.

I've been reluctant to upgrade. I could see running it on a 4 SRM6, 2 SSRM2 A1, but the lock for the SSRM2 can be annoying. With 6 SRM6, a lot of tonnage is needed for heat sinks or ammo, and I don't think you can sacrifice the 6 tons.

If someone convinced me that my up close shots (like within 90 or 60 meters) would be substantially tighter, I would take Artemis, but if Artemis only extends my range, then I wouldn't take it.

Are you crazy bro lol???? its the best 6 tons you will ever spend.

SRM 6 without Arty is better at doing at least some damage, you can easily spray light mechs.

SRM 6 with Arty may be harder to aim, but when you do hit someone, that panel will really feel the hurt and generally leads to an instant mech destroyed if you backstab someone with 4 or more SRM 6/Arty launchers.

Anway, just take 6x SRM4s on the A-1, and use Artemis.....its 30 points less of an alpha, but you have plenty of tons for sinks/ammo.

the grouping is much tighter with Artemis... It is kind of a tough sell on an A1 because that is 6 tons... but after running Artemis a while you really can tell when you are not using it.

it's a no brainer for 2-4 SRM launchers... 6 launchers i think you have to decide for yourself if it is worth it. i lean to yes.

If you intend to be effective beyond 150 meters, you should take AIV.

That's crazy too! ;) 6 SRM4 also takes 6 extra tons for Artemis. Naturally, you meant to take 4 SRM6 instead, that way you save two (more) tons and get the exact same firepower ...

From previous topics on the subject of Artemis this seems to be down to range.
Better for LRM then SRM, not worth it if you are a light mech shooting at close range (under 100m).

If you can fit it, I definitely feel it's worth it. What you trade for those 6 tons is upto you though.

Just came out from some testing. SRM6 with Artemis is definitely a tighter group than without. However, that 6 tons is a pain on the A1.. I ended up swapping SRM6s for SRM4s, as the grouping on those 4s are tight even without Artemis, and the spare tonnage I can use for heat sinks -- my A1 is using SHS.

I run 6 SRM4 with Art4, For superior chain firing/heat management options. Its not a huge difference but helps when you're running close to shutdown.
