After downloading the game and installing, i decided to try to play it. All went fine, until i went to the mechlab, at which point if i click on any of the trial mechs the game just drops completely with no error. Thinking it was a faulty install or something on my side, i uninstalled and reinstalled, still getting the same thing, any suggestions to clear this up?

you should check the crash log (Omicron and OmicronOnline in the game folder) to look for a clue why there is a crash happening.

Do you have direct x 9c? (dx 9 is not included in newer windows but is required for MWO)

Otherwise, sounds like a faulty install.

you can replace only the broken pak file without having to download the whole game again.

It's possible you are simply missing/corrupt an entire pak file, such as the Objects.pak. Compare your .pak files with the master list of the .paks

Animations.pak Bumpers.pak CausticValley_ig.pak Desert_ig.pak ForestColony_ig.pak FrozenCity_ig.pak GameData.pak Industrial_ig.pak Objects.pak RiverCity_ig.pak Scripts.pak ShaderCache.pak ShaderCacheStartup.pak ShadersBin.pak SkyBoxes_ig.pak Sounds.pak Textures.pak

If you are missing/corrupt the object pak, click here http://patcher.mwome...ame/Objects.pak the filename can be changed to any of the required files for direct download.

If you re-install, it greatly helps to clear the temporary folders and your registry before re-downloading the game contents.

Messing with the registry is a really bad idea unless you know exactly what you're doing.
