I heard a rumor they wanted a lot of medium mechs, but mediums seem to be outperformed by all other mech types. Lights are tougher and do more damage, and so do heavies and assaults.

R&R feels like a tax and a penalty. But straight up bonuses for underplayed classes would probably go over better. Like plus 10k cbills just for showing up in a medium. You could even tune by chassis and just run everything through an algorhythm based on popularity of chassisnfor then last week or month (calculated with every patch bimonthly maybe, not constantly)(I'm sure you have stats), putting everything on a 0-20k sliding scale with everyone getting an end of match mech bonus based on that formula although 3ls and ddcs would probably get 0, and 2ds like 1k, but whatever the formula produces.

Second unrelated suggestion: stats for damage taken, if you can. I like to screenshot my stats after a match which lets me see exactly how I did when they are updated for the next match. It would be really cool to see "oh, ok, I only actually took 15 damage from lrms, maybe I won't get that ams."

Follow up suggestion. Inwould like to see a damage taken stat after battle. Maybe even divide it by weight to have it effect score. A pilot who takes 200 damage for his team is doing a good job of tanking and rolling their torsos, and either way is contributing more than the afk guy who gets cored. But even without a reward, it would be an awesome stat.

Medium mechs will be much more viable when tonnage limits come in. They could stand to be a little bit faster, though.

Hunchback and Centurion were always slow-pokes.

One even wonders why PGI put them into the game considering Clans showed IS very clearly that a 64.4kp/h medium is a useless medium. Simply, those things are obsolete past 3050.
