With new consumables i think it is time to rethink amount of modules on some variants. I don't get why almighty RVN-3L and AS-D-DC have 3 slots and HBK-4P only 1.

before they had no real base line because there were very few builds that would gain anything from using all of their module slots.

It seemed to be based on which mechs were "most popular" or "most powerful" at the time module slots were added. The K2 was, at the time, one of the most deadly mechs due to 2x Gauss rifle builds (before exploding gauss rifles and item crits!) and it suffers from a similar lack of module slots.

Bear in mind this was
  • not long after the 'Fastback' was removed (300xl Hunchback 4P were seriously deadly!)
  • Before ECM was added to the game, leaving mechs like the DDC disadvantaged (and the DDC as a "command mech" seems like it should have more modules)
I absolutely agree that a revision of the module slots for many mechs is necessary.
