Renting out servers. Do what BF2 did and let the consumer rent out "ranked" servers! You could make a killing, and it would help alleviate some of this P2W garbage.

EA's BF2 had "ranked" and "unranked" servers. The ranked ones were the official, "you rent this out" and the players would grind their XP to get unlocks. I can guarantee you that EA made a killing renting out servers to teams. It could help you solve the whole Europe/Asia/NA thing, because If I wanted to play with my German friends, I could join them on a German server; if I didn't feel like playing with them, I could just enjoy my lower ping on the US servers. And since all the "ranked" servers were official, they all had the same settings across the board.

And the unranked ones are were people would go to set up tournaments, roleplay, etc. Or to just kick it back and chill with pals and test out different stuff. These servers were loads of fun, but we didn't get anything for it.

PGI/IGP, I propose this:

Give us a lobby. Give us the ability to rent official servers and to have our own unofficial servers.

The official servers can be the only place to grind CBills and XP.

The unofficial servers can allow us to host private matches. Have games where we can set different times, or different Conquest cap points, tweak the conditions to possible future game modes... basically allow us control over the environment so we test stuff. We can test out different loadouts on friends, explore, take n00b friends in and actually teach them how to play. etc.

Seriously. All the problems this game has right now. Nothing is going to kill it faster than the inability for the playerbase to have some control over the content. The ability for player ran tournaments and campaigns kept the previous MW games alive for so long.

I'd rather not.
