Hey all,

Been getting trying to get my Jenners to Elite rank, and have a few questions as I move forward:

1) do you have to unlock the 4 elite efficiencies on 3 variants to unlock master?
2) if I sell one of them (because what good is the stupid JR7-K), will it remove the double basic bonus unlocked by getting all the basic efficiencies on 3 variants?

I assume the answer to the second is no, but I wanted to make sure before I had to grind my way towards 3 million again for a mech I won't ever use.

Yes.

Yes

The only shortcut is if you have them all to elite, 2 other light mechs (non-jenners) that are elited as well. You can then sell your elited Jenners and only keep the one you intend to master. (master is only available when 3 mechs of that weight class are elited.)

Yes you must finish elite rank on 3 variants in order to open up master.

If you sell a mech the XP and pilot percs are saved on it. You can buy it back later and start were you left off.

If you finish elite with three variants you can sell the ones you do not want and top out master on just one. I did this with my centurions.

You have to buy all eight Basic efficiencies on three variants of a single 'Mech to unlock Elite for that 'Mech.

You have to buy all four Elite efficiencies on three variants of any 'Mech in the same weight class to unlock Master. Example: fully Eliting one Jenner variant, one Commando variant, and one Raven variant will unlock Master for all three.

Selling a 'Mech will not remove anything you have already earned.

You need 3 full basic jenners to unlock jenner elite.

You need 3 full elite lights to unlock any light master.

As long as you full elite a mech, you get the 2x basics bonus.

You are free to sell mechs you won't use after you've unlocked whatever it is you want to unlock. So, say you already mastered jenner (thus, you had 3 full elite jenners at some point), and go spider next - but you only want to keep one. You get 3 full basic spiders, then sell the 2 you don't want. The last one will have elite unlocked; and you can master it because you already have 3 full elite lights.
