No my friend this time i'm really sure the Naginata was the first mech with C3-Master first introduced with the TRO 3055

Oh, my bad, I wasn't looking at the base model, the date I tossed out was on the -C3C model.

The Master Unit List has all of the unit availability dates, BTW. It's quite useful.

Thanks a lot for this, I was looking for a something like this (unrelated to the TT) ;)

Alrighty, thanks for all the input. Looks like I'll have to take another look at some of this set up to make this work.

If you are looking for a C3 mech for that final lance, since it has so much firepower you need a mech that is fast and can get in close to really make the lance unit effective. I have played with a wicked combo for the DC by going with the Venom and a Gunslinger combo. The model for the Venom is the SDR-9KC see link below.

http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Venom

Yes it's a light mech for the lance, but the speed and 8 jump make it so darn hard to hit. 8 hexes jumping is an automatic +4 to hit for anyone. But that gives you enough of a chance to get a quick early use of the C3 system quickly. I wouldn't be surprised if by the second turn your lance is firing from short range with help from the C3 system in the Venom.

Good hunting.

Hrm... This kinda brings up a good point. I kinda wonder if I shouldn't build in some redundancy by tossing a recon mech in the Fire support lance and a fire support mech in the recon lance just in case the company commander (whether it's the Tai-sho or whatever single C3M mech I have hold the company together in a Config. 1 setup) loses his computer.

another suggestion your C3-spotter should really have ECM for counter ECM
when the Company Master falls it isn't a bad idea to have lances that can work on their own--- like the idea

Yeah, I've actually really wanted to do this, but I don't believe there's any mechs that can fill this role in the time frame I'm building for. I'll probably have a Komodo in the Combine/Ghost Bear War version of the unit though, along with a Tessen.
