[Rushin Roulette]

It would be interresting to know which organized House units (specific units, not general house as this is easily seen by the icon next to the names) or Merc corps actually had players placed in the top 25 of the Weightclass brackets or the top 50 of the overall rankings and if any groups had multiple placings on the tables.

I am deffinitely well aware, that the results mainly show which players had loads of time to play/grind during the weekend, but it would still be interresting. Id also be interrested to know which players are in which organization as some of the pilots showed a very high level of play when I was against or with them in matches.

Faction wise, looking at the boards, the majority of players were lone wolf/mercs - not affiliated with any house.

I know that. Im speaking of specific mercenary units or house units. Just because the players have a house selected does not mean they are all in the same unit (such as Murphys law being Lyrian as well as the Skye Rangers or Golden Foxes).

Edit: Good game Khobai. I was listening to Theone on the German mwo-mercs.de Teamspeak that he couldnt gain enough ground to your score during the whole competition (as well as always looking to stay ahead of ACfromDC) and I must say from the few games I was matched against/with you I could see why . Well played.

You have to note... not all Liaos are goons and not all Goons are Liao (even though a vast majority of the Goons have affiliated themselves with Liao).

Looking at Broceratops posts and profile for example, he is in the Steel Jaguar (not sure if it is a Liao affiliated Merc corp or house regiment though);

There are so many combinations and alliance/affiliation variations in the Mech Warrior universe, that just a house affiliation says nothing in regards to the unit or political direction of a players unit.

You guys need to read the forums more and look at the signature of anyone who is in top place. The ones in houses/merc corps usually have it in the signature as some sort of banner.

Most merc corps are undecided with their affiliation until they know what rewards will be available from which houses/clans and how the loyalty system will work.

I'm with the Blazing Aces. The lack of a sig/banner is probably due to the fact I hardly ever post here. I'm not much of a forumite, sadly.

Blazing Aces are a merc unit with no house affiliation right now.

Moose, Nailgunn, Bata, Grizzly Viking and I think Lucity are in the Free World's League Military. Moose, Nailgunn, and Grizzly are in a member unit called the Free World's League Legionaires, or Legionaires or Legion for short. They're all great guys and a credit to our community.

Yea, thats true... But im honestly not going to look through 150 user signatures/post history (4 times 25 players per weight class and another 50 players in the overall bracket) to see if multiple players have the same signature... if they even have a signature or post history at all (Overall placed 5 Doyle has never posted here for example EDIT: Thanks for the information Doyle and welcome to the hell of being an active poster here ).

It would just be interresting to see if there are some units with many dedicated or good players which also stayed through the whole tournament. It would be great for some of the units to organize inter unit practices or matches for example and this is one way to see which ones could possibly be good.

EDIT: Ill see what I can do to edit in the names and units of players in the op to give an easier overview.

It would be great if you could give the complete player name and placing for this reason (If I have a link to the unit site, then I will include that which would also give you some free advertizing )

Hey guys, I placed 5th overall, and I am a member of Ghost Warriors Brigade. I don't have a banner as I only joined them a couple of months back and am still ranked at noob level in the mech company. I think someone makes them for us and I have to wait for the next batch or something, I dunno, lol.

Gratz to Broceratops for finishing top(I don't care what people say about number of games played, this guy happens to be very good regardless), you made it look easy dude! I bet you're glad you didn't give up in the end.

I felt like I was climbing a mountain, with every bad game dropping me further away from the top 3 in the last hour. It's so hard to keep getting consistently good scores in pugs even at the top end of the Elo, hats off to you, enjoy your hard earned title, and haters gonna hate!

I should also give a mention to my amazing girlfriend who throughout all the highs and lows(I think I swore at my pc more over two days than I normally do in two weeks!)made me snacks and drinks, tolerated me yelling about people deliberately throwing games and how overpowered LRMs are in the hands of top tier players(I didn't use any for the tourney but they sure do have a habit of finding me 40 at a time...rage!) and set up a constantly refreshing leader board page on the laptop to keep me motivated. It certainly helped to have her support and calming influence! Also thanks to my band mates for letting me off the recording session this weekend so I could enter.

Hopefully everyone's participation in this trial of the Elo system will help the devs make a less controversial one next time around, I'm sure they gathered a lot of information and they work hard to keep us happy so I look forward to some positive tweaks to the next ranking system. I'm not sure I will have the time to enter the next one, as I am often busy at weekends and live in the UK so the time difference makes things a bit tricky, but I'll try!

Thanks for the feedback.

I have included the Units and ranked players in the OP (in the order that they were named in this thread). It would be great to see which units had placed players how many per unit as well as where they can be found.

I will keep on updating the OP as and when posts with confirmations come in. it would be great if you could also provide a link to the unit home page as I only know my own unit homepage from the listed house units and Merc corps.

I have also added a few more unit webpages to the OP... but if you can... please supply these in a post as it is quite timeconsuming to sift through various user accounts and look through their post history for the off chance that they might have bumped a recruiting thread or even have a link to thier homepage in the signature.



EDIT: no need to be sad of your status Nostram. If you really want to get into a unit... then the Tournament results you worked for will give you loads to select from and will make it so much easier to join one you want to be in. The skill or determination is deffinitely there, all the rest is all up to socializing and being a team player.

I have placed you in the Lone Wolves section. maybe a few unit recruiters will send you a PM... you never know
