I have a problem with my vsync. Even with it is disabled i am still locked at 60fps when i know i can get better with a radeon 7870. And i made sure vsync is disabled in catalyst control center. I have looked around a bit and i haven't found any fixes. So, does anyone know how to fix this?

Not as far as I know. Even my 7850 I fluctuate greatly with fps from 75 down to 20 at times. Now i haven't played in awhile and unless they have optimized the game, that's probably your problem as with everyone else. Try to look at your gpu load while playing, i rarely broke 50% gpu load. Sometimes when I'm in the countdown screen ill get 99% load and 99 fps and then as soon as I launch both plumet and fluctuate. In short its not you its the game, unless maybe your CPU is a bottleneck?

I looked at my gpu load in game and it seemed to be 80%-90% usage and my fps never drops below 50fps and never above 60fps. So i don't think i have the same problem as you. It seems like the vsync is bugged out or something. And my cpu is not a bottleneck, it is a 3770k.

FPS is dependent on several things, including the monitor refresh rate. Are you using F9 for FPS or a 3rd party program?

There is a lively discussion about game FPS and monitor refresh rate.

1. Have you checked your ATI setup to ensure that Vsync is set to Off unless application specifies

Hmmm....weird. I dunno boss. I wouldn't worry about it though. Supposedly when we get the dx11 patch gpu performance will go way up.

Or possibly down. Many people will find themselves unable to play with DX11 as (according to Steam) many people still have older cards that are not DX10/11 capable. If memory serves me, I want to say that AMD 4000/5000 series and Nvidia's 500(?) were the first capable of DX10&11 when they were produced. As DX11 takes advantage of certain hardware, a software driver patch will not make and older device compatible.

http://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey : Of steam users---- 29.47% are DX10, 47.97% are DX11 The remainder will be locked out.

So if you look at those numbers and realize that because DX11 is inclusive of 10, less than half of the gamers (Steam reflects a representative number of global gamers) can currently make the jump.

True, but since he has a 7870 I would expect dx11 to help, not bender.

Yes, the jump to DX11 would keep those older video cards players from playing...but only in DX11. They can still play in DX9.

Sure, he is safe. However, if Steam's surveys are saying that over half of the gamers out there can't make the DX11 switch, then it stands to logic that we may loose many players here in MWO.

Because what is seen in DX11 can't be addresses in DX9, you can't put multi-players together using vastly different DX* APIs.
