Why Are We Following The 1:1 Timeline In A Beta?

Pre-clan invasion is just warm-up stuff with sub-par tech just to give the devs time to get the ball rolling on what most folks are excited about.
My hope is that by 2014 we'll have a 10 year time acceleration to put us in line to get alot of the stronger tech.

WE will not be able to play clan mechs any time soon either deal with it quit crying about stupid things and move on please.
They may around March 20-22nd have a ISN or a ComStar about the clans beginning their invasion but really what in your right minds even makes you think the clans will be playable soon with the invasion here and now?
Since lore is being followed and since CW is not in yet we are IS people only deal with that thought for now and understand that IS doesn't get clan tech for a couple years from now and even then it is very limited.
Will we get clan mechs? YES they have stated so.
Will we get them right now without even phase 1 of CW? (magic 8 ball says) HA HA HA, NO!!!
I know common sense is one of the most lacking things in society so much so it needs to be renamed uncommon/rare sense because a lot of people lack a quarter of a individual thought anymore.
Nobody is crying, it's a discussion. Your bullying/antagonizing posts are not helping in any way, so please take it down a notch.

2nd CW will release in November/December this year
3th beta tag will be remove in January/February 2014
4th the only thing you will be able to do is join a PGI/IPG faction house that they will control or join a merc corp.
5th we will be able to fight for planet control and gain a % of c-bill according to the number of planet controled by specific faction/house
6th Merc corp. will fill out the missing space of house/faction battle
7th clan are the enemy
8th if clan become playable then it will be IS vs clan and the clan will beat evrey one until comguard(PGIIGP) stop them
IT'S going to be a CLAN domination allover with the IS getting there *** kick for years to come
Source? I haven't seen anything official about how the Clan invasion/equipment will work yet.
Also, just because we don't see any mechs during the initial invasion doesn't mean the timeline will be upset. It's fully possible that we will just read about it until clan tech becomes more widespread in the lore.

And ultimately it's really nothing more than flavoring. It doesn't effect gameplay in any real way, since mechs and equipment can really be added whenever the developers wish, in any order they wish.

It makes more sense to me as well to freeze the timeline so IS can be more fleshed out before the invasion. Once it start, we should be allowed to fight for either side, Clan or IS, as Clan or IS mechwarriors respectively.

Well, we won't really be playing the 'invasion'. More like afterwards. What would happen if we played the invasion, and the Clans lost and got kicked out of the IS?

Well, I'm just assuming the Clan didn't win every single engagement.
Anyway, assuming what you are saying is the way they're gonna go. How are they going to going to convey the fact that Clan is attacking, and the following transition from IS to Clan tech? Just stories on the forum? Seems kind of backwards to have a game's story be told mostly out of the game and not on the battle field where it actually took place.

I know. People really wanted to be able to interact with the lore and famous battles. But the Devs have said they are sticking to canon and you can't have the Clans win at Tukayyid if that's the case. I feel we will be fighting battles over unimportant border worlds while hearing about the events in ISN newscasts.

I see. That clears up a whole lot, and makes 1:1 timeline possible I guess. I bit disappointing though.
