Okay, serious answers please because I really don't understand. *Why* do people want the Urbanmech added? It has a top speed roughly half that of an Atlas at a full run, less weapons than a Raven, and the low speed combined with the relatively light armor will mean it lasts roughly five seconds once it finally trundles up to a fight. So *why*? What use has this mech been in a game aside from guarding something? It's too slow to be a scout, too weak to be a brawler, and it's only useful as a sentry if it's got a *lot* of cover.

I actually want to know this myself.
It just doesn't make sense, but the same could be said for the Flea.

True. I don't particularity like it but people want it because its the most horrible mech ever made which is why its so popular. Does that make sense?

It's popular from TT, forum users are typically the minority in a game's pop and in MWO's case have a large portion of TT players, and that's the only thing I can tell.

I don't get it either, as it would be ridiculously useless, but everyone nerds out about something.

Urbie needs very little crit space...sooo....EndoSteel, FF Armor, and an AC20 with 3-5 tons of ammo, plus a medium laser. Oh hey. Useful turret. And in most of the other mechwarriors it had 360 degrees of torso twist. Did i mention the Jump Jets?

Maybe they could give it a super-fast torso twist/convergence rate? That might actually might it decent as a mobile anti-scout turret.

Honestly the only thing urbies actually have going for them is the fact that they cost almost nothing to purchase/maintain.

Please don't look at only the stock config listed on Sarna. What someone would most likely do is put a large XL in it so that it would move 90-100 KPH. It is also a small mech, essentially a turret with legs that also has JJ and 360 torso twist.

Imagine a team of 12 Urbies flying through the streets of River City...

Pulse lasers would take care of that. Small pulse lasers.
