One of the things that I find frustrating is "no movement" stalemates that have become more and more pervasive as of late... You know where both sides take on "wait and see" positions effectively waiting for someone to flinch (or someone to pop their head over a ridge in anticipation of taking it off)

Both Art and Bomb will keep folks from settling in all cozy like and will encourage movement and active engagement... :P

Personally, I'm looking forward to using it as a "herding tool" to drive the opposing force into ambushes.

Don't necessarily have to hit them to hurt them... at least not directly.

Me too, it should shake things up a bit. I am sure I will be cursing it at times but nonetheless looking forward to it being implemented.

I just hope we get to see the aerospace fighters streaking overhead!

The hype and anticipation for air strike and artillery is a pretty good indicator that players are getting bored with current gameplay state.

Actually be useful at dropping annoying LRM spammers... just put smoke behind them.

Hopefully it will move the meta towards more aggressive and dynamic strategies if arty is implemented correctly.
The waiting/cover game instigated by LRM boats, snipers and poptarts isn't much more fun than a SRM brawlfest... Well, at least for me.

Good point, and maybe an end to sneaking around behind cover.

Also good for pushing enemies forward... or advancing on a position...(Assuming a fair amount of smoke and explosions appear) Scatter ECM blankets as well.

Be nice if they added a smoke screen one that blocked both normal view and IR but does no damage...Or chaff to simply **** up radar signatures.

You pay 40K Cbills for what amounts to a free LRM20 strike, ONE LRM20 strike. Its crap, and not worth a dime.

1 LRM 20 strike is 36 dmg to a single mech. One of these is 60-100dmg to anyone in the given sphere... And no lock on/ECM null. I'm think these are a bit different. Dont get me wrong they might not be all they're cracked up to be but will add another layer of play for sure.

I was thinking the same thing,IR dampening smoke would be cool and very useful.

I don't know, I keep thinking of Battlefield where the commander can order supplies. It would be hilarious if they added an Easter Egg where the command chair can have a spare Jeep dropped at your location. Can you imagine the enemy seeing a Jeep on a parachute falling slowly. If you're skill enough, you can catch a Spider off guard and crush him with it as it lands. lol End of round stats could read: "Killed by falling Jeep"
