I just got curious after the MG's discussions about how long it takes to emty a 1 tonne clip per weapon.

AC/2 : 37,5 Seconds / 150 Damage
AC/5 : 51 Seconds / 150 Damage
AC/10: 37,5 Seconds / 150 Damage
AC/20: 28 Seconds / 140 Damage
UAC/5: 27,5 Seconds / 125 Damage
LBX/10:25 Seconds / 150 Damage
Gauss: 40 Seconds / 150 Damage
MG's: 200 Seconds / 80 Damage

Now, the UAC does not include firing twice or Jam and neither do we calculate for heat.

The damage for ballistic weapon are rather even except the UAC5 that can boost it considerably even when jamming. The MG's total damage output compared to its Time-To-Emty is rather extreme if compared to any other ballistic weapon.

LRM5: 117 Seconds / 324 Damage
LRM10: 67,5 Seconds / As LRM5
LRM15: 51 Seconds / As LRM5
LRM20: 42,75 Seconds / As LRM5

Yea, rather straightforward as more missile tubes like the LRM 20 chews through ammo downright faster but usually with bigger missile spread.

Yea, flight path and lock problems and not always registrering hits like one LRM75 Stalker found out are a few problems that needs to be ironed out. It gives good picture to how long one can have a reasonable engagement as well with the tonnage one carries.

SRM2: 175 Seconds / 250 [Spread]
SRM4: 93,75 Seconds / 250 [Spread]
SRM6: 66,6 Seconds / 250 [Spread]
SSRM: 175 Seconds / 250 [Lock On Ability]

The above picture of the SRM's are just as straight forward but they should really give the SRM2 a faster cycle rate than the SSRM since the SRM 2 seldom has much spread and the SSRM has a lock on ability. The SRM2 needs an edge and giving all SRM's a say 30% difference in fire rate in relation to each other might be rather well - especially since SRM2's are not that impressive even if carried in large packs.

Would a cut down of the SRM2 to say 120-130 seconds be horribly Op compared to the fire rate of SRM4. The drawback would be a far more heat increasing weapon in the SRM2 but it would be fast.

Gonna look at Time-To-Oven or the time to overheating with individual weapons later.

Time to Oven is not so easy to calculate, due to the way heat capacity works.
If you take 2 SRMs, you just take double the ammo, and the time to empty is identical.
But if you take 2 Medium Lasers, taking the amount of heat sinks will still overheat you more quickly than before.

Why do you think I will do it "later"

Maybe you're hungry or something.

I did make calculations on ammo consumption and time to overheat in my weapon balance threads: http://mwomercs.com/...-5th-2013-patch

VERY nice.

And yes, I really was. :D
