Is there any way to see how many actually participated in the Top Gun tourney thing? Being number X is kinda pointless if you dont know how many played.

the top score is basically how many people are behind you who have played at least 1 game. so in terms of participation, 913 right now in the first kills challenge, since Avalios has 912 score.

There are at least 797, because that's where I'm placed so far. I got exactly one kill, and even that one doesn't seem to be counting.

Id be curious to see which mechs are being used, I ran with the 3F and 5M.

edit: Id also like to know which mode people are playing, I left it as either conquest or assault.

#4. Not bad considering was running a new build for me some of the time.
Stalker 3F with 6 PPC
Stalket 5M with 5 SRM6 + 4 mlas (was way better should have played this the whole 1h)

The last srm has problems firing, it almost always goes to waste for me if theyre moving sideways.

Yes I know this and try to use it only in VERY close combat.

Interesting; I'd love to see stats include total number of participants as well, though knowing the number behind via Top Gun leaderboards basically gets you there. =)

I had some epically bad matches in both runs, but I hope I can make the overall leaderboard here for the last round... good luck to all!

Also I believe the overall number is higher due to ties and what not? Seems way to low, under 1k.

I don't know that I have a chance at the leaderboard, but I'm getting better, and it's fun to see where I stand nonetheless. =) Honestly I think PGI should consider a small C-Bill reward to anyone who makes the leaderboards, frankly - it's not a particularly easy accomplishment.

WORST TEAM MATCHUPS EVER IN LAST ROUND. Yes, it deserves caps. It lost me any chance of leaderboard overall.

Also the assist portion of this contest is bringing out people really gaming the system. I admit, I did a few bad things myself like dropping from an Alpine match or two or sometimes dying too quickly in my eagerness to get a kill. That being said, some of the top guys in the second and third portion of this contest were in lights, running around getting shots off and dying very quickly. Is this a method that works on getting lots of points? Yes. Does it represent a "Top Gun" well? No.

I am 34th overall today. I think I'd be higher if it wasn't for terrible luck with quite a few bad matches that tanked my ability to keep up with the leaders and my sticking with mechs I enjoy and not gaming the system like crazy.

I'm not sure about the solution to either of these problems, I just really hate how people are manipulating the system even more then I am!!
