I wish the Testing Grounds would let us try mechs we don't already own. If i could test drive mechs before i dumped c-bills on them i might be more tempted to stray away from my tried and true favorites. I might even (gasp!) spend some MC on a few mechs.

Word. I also wish PGI allowed us to launch 4-mans and 8-mans into testing grounds.

NO! you should spend c-bills on mechs and regret your choice later

I see the current testing grounds being the basis for at least a paired group if not a lance sizedone eventually. And think that this mode could be morphed over to combat drops between two premades. Or maybe some PVE training with turrets or sim mechs to practice maneurver/ base assault tactics?
I could be grasping at straws, but PGI seems to start slow and ramp up from there. Who knows.
edit: Need to stop typing responses while working on dropping wife aggro.

I can see this as a technical "Private Match". Either a 4v4 or 1v1s (or having fun and just killing your best buddy). That is IF the "dummy" targets don't fire back in the future.
