the more SRMs a person fires within the original launchers reload rate, the higher the spread should be. this would single handedly balance out the weapon group that gets the most benefit from b oating

No. Just . . . no.

I am so glad you people aren't game designers. So glad.

We already have this, if you put an LRM20 in an LRM15 slot it will fire 15 missiles and then a moment later the remaining 5.

This is very true. even against stationary targets with my face inside their **** I still have missiles that don't hit.

Would love to know where those missiles went......

Mind you I've had times where i've completely missed with missiles (lag shooting ahead) and blasted mechs to scrap.

This does nothing when the SRMs are fired from <50m away. SRMs should be changed to ripple fire. Then, not only would the damage tend to spread a bit, but SRM2s would have a role because they'd 'cluster' damage more than the larger launchers due to decreased total launch time.

would make sense. missiles need room to breath too  makes sense that they want to spread out if you got a bunch of em packed in there

What would this accomplish to begin with? First of all, NO ONE fires SRMs past maybe 100 meters, if they can avoid it. Then there's artemis.
