Greetings all!

I've recently dusted off my Founders C1, and started trying elite this line of mechs. I'm still experimenting with what I like with the C1, but I may have a decent build.

I also have a K2, since I enjoyed running various builds in it during CB.

My question now is this, Should I go with an A1, or C4 for my next purchase? My playstyle generally leans away from lots of LRMs, but I don't mind sniping. I'm really just curious to hear some of the pros and cons for both frames from fellow pilots, so I can make my decision.

Thanks all!

The A1 splatcat is mean but it is pretty instantly recognisable and most pug teams will focus fire on it straight away. The C4 you can still run a decent amount of SRMs if you want that and if you pair it with an ERLLas or normal LLas you get some range which comes in handy. If you don't mind a bit of LRM action get a C4 with 2xLRM20+artemis, 2xSSRM2, 2xMlas and 245XL. It is a nice all round build that can LRM well but also scare away all non-ecm lights.

If you aren't a fan of LRMs, I would recommend staying away from the C4 as that's what it's for (hence the large ears!).

The C4 is still good with x4 ART-6, less point-blank for better range than the -A1.

Proper use of x2 ART-20 is horrifyingly effective though, mid-range missile boating to maximize Artemis.

Sure but if I recall correctly, the C4 has the least energy slots. It is geared towards mid-long range missiles technically.

The C4's Energy hard points are also on the Center Torso so the most you can put on them is ML or MPL. The A1 is currently a one trick pony since it has no HP for energy and LRM/SSRM2s suck.
