So Me & a couple of friends have decided We need the Devs to come out with a new paint scheme!

We want "The General Lee" paint job from the dukes of hazard! Because nothing would be cooler, than a bright orange Raven or a Cicada bombing around with the rebel flag on it!

Yeaaaaaah, my first reaction upon reading that was to cringe. Look I get that you want to use it because of the dukes of hazzard, but that is crossing into some dangerous territory. The only more inflammatory symbol that I can think of to put on a mech would be a swastika. That one also has other meanings (In Hinduism and Buddhism), but most people are just going to see it and think "racism."

This is battle tech and such an ancient symbol would be long lost by the year 3050! I would rather have a house symbols be paint able on mechs.

Um... does it count that I'm running around in a Kürbis colored Cicada-3M every once in a while. I'd have gone pure International Orange... but I already had the Kürbis purchased.

The attention grabbing that I can do in that mech is simply awe inspiring.

Ever had eight mechs out to kill JUST you? Cruise through a formation in an orange ECM mech and you'll probably experience it pretty quick.

Yes, actually, it's quite fun. This is the reason why I painted my DDC that obnoxious bright Lime green color. I also like to pretend I'm Godzilla... man... What I wouldn't give for an energy hard point in the head so I could fit a Flamer.

Just pull a medium laser from the chest... probably give a similar effect from your perspective... problem with it being in the head is that it would fire from your right...

Maybe try the Stalker with the CT energy mount?

I have no gripes with the confederate flag per se, but such paint design on the game would only appeal to such a small minority that it isn't worth for the developer to even consider it.

You mean like the Japanese War Flag that is the Yen-Lo-Wang paint scheme ?

(Funny that the Mech of a Davion double Agent in the China-inspired Liao Military features an ancient Japanese flag, isn't it ? )
