Thinking about taking a Raven with an AC20 for a laugh. What do you think? the stats are below.

Raven 4X
AC20
3 tonnes ammo
95kph with XL205 engine
1 DHS (cooling 116%)
232 armour

may be a fun shoot and scoot. in reality MLs may be better for strafing runs. But lobbing AC20s into mechs rear would be a nasty surprise for them.

Any thoughts? Has it been done before?

They are good for a few laughs. The one I made in CB had a 175XL and jumpjets. Rest was about the same as your build.

With an XL205 you need 2 extra DHS.
Engine has 8, minimum is 10.

Indeed. And a Raven going at 90kph is going to get popped pretty fast these days.

That AC20 raven flock looks hysterical! now how do i convince my mates its a good idea... will look at the numbers again. Will make it tonight and take it for a test run. AC20 ona raven...he he he.

You don't need DHS if you are just keeping an AC/20 cool.
I personally run an AC/20 and then go back and forth between 2 small lasers and one medium. Three tons of ammo isn't much, but that's how much I run with when doing the build. I think I ended up having the minimum 10 HS, a xl200 both ferro and ES (if I remember rightly). You end up with having something that is hilarious, and not horribly ineffective if you don't mind avoiding other lights. Though, I think I found that the double ERPPC outdid the single AC/20 even before the buff.
