You got that in the "Champion Mech", except it still requires MC to acquire.

The Champion Mechs are going to generate extra XP, and be only available as they are presented to us.

My Suggestion is to provide a way for us to "buy" a small and permanent C-Bill boost that can be applied to any regular Mech in our Hangar whenever you eventually upgrade it to the point where you unlock the extra Module Slot (so it'd function as an additional unlockable End-Game "feature").

My mind's numbers were something like a 10% C-bill boost (1/3 of a Hero's boost) that costs somewhere around the Original MC price of the Mech.

I think that's a bit steep. That would make it roughly as expensive as a hero mech. I think 25-50% of the original cost would be more appropriate if you want to extract money from people like me who are too cheap to buy a hero mech. :D

would be simpler to buy premium time for just the game time when you ade online and fighting. so you pay what you would Pay now for a month, but get like 240 gaming hours of premiumtime, so players who work 8 hours or more per day dont waste money with premium as it is now!

I like the idea of being able to pay MC to get your mech Hero status then having to level up Hero rank in the Mech Skill Tree. Something like Rank 1: 5 % bonus , Rank 2: 10,000 Mech XP for 10% bonus, Rank 3 100,000 Mech XP for 15% bonus and so on. I think the level of Heroic status should be determined by the time that mech as seen the battlefield. I play my Ilya alot and have a ton of mech xp just sitting around. I would like to be able to do something with that XP other then having to pay to convert it to GXP

I don't think this is a new idea of his; as I recall, he has been tossing it around for awhile and it even appeared in a recent ATD where The Ekman said he was intrigued by it too. In all honesty, this is probably what the Champion Mech should be.

Buying a Champion mech, as currently proposed by PGI, is not that interesting or worthwhile.

I'd rather buy "hero time" and move it around from mech to mech.(i'm the famous one not the hunk of tin. Pay me to drive YOUR mech Atlas makers!.

Hell wait for CW... and also have it as a bonus for faction appropriate mechs too. Drive your side with pride!

A little dealer kickback never hurt anyone!

i liked the suggestion some one made about a bobblehead that abled a mech to get cBill boost
maybe we could say.
that the bobble head is locked to one mech only and cannot be removed. (to stop advantage making :P)

but i'd like a PC gamer package type deal.
those that convert their fav mech to a hero type get for that mech "only".
both a bobble head and, a unique camo skin.

I'd say this would make a higher MC range price, abit more appealing

Here's an answer for you straight from PP.

Let me underline that again: Champion 'Mechs earn extra XP, but you have to buy a new 'Mech. PP's suggestion earns you extra c-bills, and is added on to a 'Mech you've already mastered (because you are the hero/champion/we need another word for this).

Heroes Also have different Hardpoint Layouts too. So if I can "Hero-ize" for the C-bill boost I'd like to be able to change a Hardpoint. Only one though, if all of them could be changed Dear God it would snap the game in half.

I like the general idea, but I think it needs to come with something that caters to the conspicuous consumer. That could be a special camo, bobble-head, decal, or a custom in-game name for your "hero", it just has to show other players that you are "special". The current heroes and founders mechs are instantly recognizable on the battlefield and I know those players paid to have fancier looking toys. I would be disappointed if paying only got a bonus to cbills and no new content developed by pgi. If that is the case, just let people buy engines for MC and be done with it.

Park, I am 110% behind you here.

Personally I wouldn't require a visual specialness or anything. One of the few out of my 20+ chassis I have setup "right", (i.e. in a manner I refuse to change because I like it so well), is my quad ERPPC K2. Since the chassis and I have meshed so well, if I could take it one level above Mastery it would be great. I also own the four Founder's and three hero mechs that, as Park mentioned, I feel obligated to take advantage of when I'm trying to grind up cash. Having a C-Bill bonus on a chassis I've taken the time to master and spent some real cash on makes good sense to me. And frankly I don't care if it looks special. But I would want closer to a 15% cbill bonus.

EDIT: The "other word for this" would be "Expert"... no, that flies in the face of "master", "Specialist" perahaps? After spending That much time in a single chassis, stands to reason our imaginary pilots would garner more experience in thier quirks and yaddayadda

Maybe there could a way of getting a 5% bonus without paying MC, like using your mech/general XP. ( And a lot of it)

Ummm, why not use the monthly/annual subscription model instead? You pay money to get premium time (a modest $5 ($60/annum) to $15 ($180/annum) (or say a one-time $120 for 20%), which could give you 10-20% boost ($5-$15 respectively) in C-bill earnings for any mech you pilot. How different is that than spending (insert value X (representing the number of non-Hero mechs you have) * Y (representing the MC you purchase) = Z. You'll be limiting yourself to one or more of your mechs, not necessarily all, depending on how much $ you are willing to part with. Not including the Hero mechs or the founder's mechs, there are (I believe) 13 lights, 17 mediums, 14 heavies and 14 assaults. If there are players out there that own every variant (and I don't doubt there are), spending 1000 MC for every mech in the stable of that player, amount to 58,000 MC which is roughly $240 (@ $99.95 for 25,000 MC * 2 = $199.90 (50,000 MC) + roughly another $40 for approximately 9,000 MC - okay, $29.95 or $49.95 for 6,500 or 12,000 MC respectively)

I know I am in the statistical minority (in the extreme in age and playing videogames, meaning older and not much respectively) about earning C-bills -- for me it's just a game with limited assets and no prospects for a real planetary league and I earn enough C-bills during normal play to get what I want out of the game vis-a-vis mechs, parts, armaments, etc when I think I really need them. I would rather just make it simple and pay a modest subscription fee that would grant me a minimum 20% c-bill boost on anything that I pilot. Frankly, with the game in its current state, the "I have to have X, Y, or Z now" mentality is a little irrational, irrespective if you believe your monetary contributions will lead to more content or a more refined game.

How about calling it the Veteran option. If you have mastered a 'Mech, even by using GXP, chances are you have been playing long enough to know your way around a 'Mech.
