To the developers,
My suggestion to the DEVS is simple.
Either make ECM balanced, limit the number of units that can equip it in any given match, give all mechs the ability to equip it or get rid of it all together.
The gaming expierience has devolved since its inception and is no longer fun for most. The only players that enjoy it are the coordinated groups whom use it massively. Every game is now won by whichever team has the most ECM. There is basically no reason to pilot a mech without it which again makes the game unenjoyable as you dont feel you can use other mechs in game that do not have ECM. Unless maybe you want to live in the practice maps.
Sure you will have some players return whenever you add a little bit of content or a new mech but the game still will not have changed for the most part. ECM has made the game almost well.. A joke.
There will be those who feel the need to disagree but I imagine they are amongst the players whom exclusively pilot ECM compatible mech as it enlarges their online egos... I am happy I became a Legendary Founder but alas I will be playing alot less as the game has entered a downward spiral of grabs for cash in the mechlab or not listening to the community who has been asking for ECM to be dealt with for a long time.

While ECM is powerful, I think the larger issue that makes it seem so much worse is the mechs that currently run it. PGI has talked about how broken the 3L is hit (wonky hit boxes, SSRM2s bugged to do way more damage than they are suppose to), the Commando 2D uses SSRM2s almost exclusively, and the DDC is, well, it's the DDC...I have never seen anyone complain about the Cicada 3M.

I think the Sensors are not strong enough, and uni directional, While ECM are Omni directional.
The whole concept of Electronic warefare in this game is jacked up, so the Concept of Electronic Counter Measures doesn't work.
This is what we have today, http://peoiews.apg.a...adars/eq36.html you would think in the year 3000 it would be allor more advanced, when you add modern day AWACs and add Marrs and alot of everything else.. You can see the whole battlefield.. you know in 3000 year you would have a drop ship with madd Intell abilities to see the whole planet. See how many mechs what kind.. where at..
When you can see that, then you can see when ECM comes into play.. Creating wholes in the information.. But when the information is a BIG WHOLE and you add more holes to it.. you get what we have here.. There is no consecutive thought to Sensors.. and Sensors is a poorly used word for LOS. And LOS is not accurate, because i can see things but cant target them.. Soo MAKE UP YOUR MIND wHAT IS IT DEVS!!
