I call it the Massacre!
I find you really don't want to be caught at range in this thing, but the trade off being that it can REALLY punch above its weight. The Srm's launch from the Left arm in an extremely accurate stream if you chain fire, meaning you can quickly deliver large damage to a target while lining up your AC/20. The medium laser's on the other hand can deal as much damage as a Gauss Shot! This thing keeps on swinging until it hits the dirt, and that's why its my main Mech

This is my favorite Dragon build (all be it slower than my other three). It's good at all ranges, but especially mean at the 200m mark. Ultimately you can use it as a sniper, then move in a brawl with it, and the SRM6 is there for the final punch on all those armorless backs. Not a very balanced build, but newer players can really learn the ropes as both a mid-range heavy skirmisher, and a long range sniper. I echewed a ton of AC/2 ammo for an extra heat sink in this Build-A-Trial, but my personal one is a little less heat effecient but has more dakka dakka.

Pros: all slots and tons used, 45 pinpoint alpha, 1.25 heat efficiency, good twist speed and uses a standard enginge so it has good durability as well as having good speed making it a formidable mech

Cons: Limited range, Only 2 tons of ammo, Slightly low armour on the legs and arms, but the fact that the main gun is locatedon the torso more than makes up for that in my opinion. Poeple rarely try to shoot off my legs anyways, and the legs on the phract are easy to hide behind cover.

Allthough this build has no long range capability it combines good alpha capability with good short to medium range firepower, as well as the ability to move quickly in to position and utilise that firepower. This mech is capable to taking down assault mechs quickly if used correctly, and I feel that it was easier for me to learn the ropes of the game using faster mech configurations. I also discovered that it was easier to play with higher alpha builds, and that high dps builds require more finesse. That's why I feel this would be a great trial mech.

Pros: 58 alpha, top speed of 78.6 (86.6) and great twist speed, reasonably good heat efficiency and armour is more or less maxed apart from legs which rarely get destroyed.

Cons: Limited range but excellent speed more than makes up for it.

A slower Dragon for a new pilot to tryout several weapon system, it is build for engagement on almost any range.
The 10 DHS will try to teach pilot trigger discipline and weapon juggling, if they want to avoid overheating and shutdown. Yet 400 points of amour and C.A.S.E. let the pilot have room for mistake as they cut their teeth in The Roaring Thunder Dragon.

Notes: This is my attempt to create a faster CTF with more manuverability able to have range and brawl without sacrificing fire power; it is also heat efficient. The ERPPC is used for anti ECM at close and long range. The BAP is to help with faster lock-ons. You can swap out the two LRM 5s for 2 Streak SRM 2s and put in a 315 engine. Another swap out could be the ERPPC for a Large Laser and the 2 Medium Lasers for their Pulse versions. The legs only have 35 points in armor since they are rarely hit allowing the armor to be placed in the Torso and Arms. It has a max speed of 71.74KPH and can turn at a rate of 7.09 seconds.
