It looks great. I can't wait to see the Summoner.

Thanks! Really the hardest part for me is getting the basic, starting shapes. Once I have that I can start layering details and flesh out the design.

Here's some images of how I started with a basic cube and transformed it into the base for the Summoner's torso.

Still quite a bit of work to do yet on the shape. But it's mostly ready for detailing.

I don't want to get burned out again, so I've been pacing myself and doing other projects. Speaking of next update, here it is!

Spent the morning reshaping the torso. The base is a single object and I've been building it like I did my Warhammer and Rifleman. Then when I was finally satisfied, I started adding detail. So far it's just the forward armor plates and some minor bits.

At least now it's a bit more recognizable as a Summoner-in-progress!

They have a LOT of work to do yet before they can add in Clan 'mechs. Hundreds of Innersphere 'mechs are available in the tabletop at this time period and it's fairly unknown how many they plan to use for MWO. But were I to troll the community, I'd spring them on people unexpectedly with an update.

Right then! Next update.

Knocked out some detail on the back to finish off the torso. Now to size it to scale and start the rest of the model. Took the Right Arm off of my Hellbringer model (since it's the same arm on the Summoner) and placed everything on the legs that I made earlier in this thread.

All that's left are the LRM15, the Right Arm with the LB-10X Autocannon, and the cockpit.

Woo! Three posts in a row!

Alright, lets just do an image dump. I had a lot of free time today.

Not at all happy with the cockpit and LRM15. I'm going to completely rebuild both.

Agreed. Lowering the cockpit and missile launcher down into the torso, so to speak, helped make them look more like part of the torso rather than just extra bits bolted down on top of it.

So, now that you've done a Thor/Summoner you know you _really_ wanna do the good, ol' classic Thunderbolt, right? Of course you do! Everyone loves the Thunderbolt! :(

I've already made a Thunderbolt.

Well, maybe not the one you're thinking of. But it is a Tbolt!

Alright, lets wrap up this model.

And since I titled this endeavor with the names of two Omnimechs, lets see both bad boys together!

That's it, folks! Unless I think of some image to put them in, I'll save the texture maps for later.

Thanks for watching!

Thanks!

Can't say that I have. Though I tend to prefer the Puma (Adder). Partly because it is one of the first battletech minis I've ever owned.

OK! Made some proper orthographies and posted them to deviantArt.

Thank's for that awesome job!
A'll try to build a scaled model of "Summoner" based on the shapes you've done.

P. S . I've been dreaming of such a 3 D model for a long time!

Loving your work as always :P That LBX on the Summoner looks great, the ejection port and heat sheild make it feel more realistic than the original TRO art.

The Hellbringer looks properly menacing as well, the head's sharper angles look nicer than the old rounded one.

Great :(

This work is fantastic, a real talent for it here i can see. Loving the others you have on this link also!
What i truly love most is the LRM15 you've done here, it looks soooo sexy... agreed with Steinar Bergstol ... almost lowering them makes them seem more one with the mech than a thing dangling off it.

Wonderful jobbington! :)

Like, a resin or papercraft model? Or something digital? Either way that sounds pretty cool.

I think the Hellbringer would play well in MWO. The Prime would be like a mix between the K2 and the Raven in terms of weapons and equipment. Except it's thin armor if you went with just the original config would make it an easy kill.

Great :D

I felt that I needed to make the LB-X like it is because of the mechanics and the fact that there are 10 rounds of ammo in the arm. The TRO art the gun looks too short to be as accurate at range as AC10 class weapons are supposed to be. As for the Hellbringer cockpit, I just didn't like the Spaceman Helmet look of the original. Plus I like sloped armor for deflection. Also it ties in well with my Warhammer model and draws a link between the omnimech and its ancestor design.

Thank you! the way the original LRM15 sits didn't look right or seem to fit properly when I was building the model. The original seems sort of stuck on and not really properly mounted. I thought of using one of my LRM15 pod weapons (like you'd see on the TWolf) but I figured I'd go with a custom launcher instead.
