I'm absolutely certain maturity and your fa99ot factor have absolutely nothing to do with each other, and in fact calling immaturity [redacted] is even more immature (and bigoted) on your part.

you really not know how easy it is the play with some nice guys?

I'd say since playing beta on the first wave invites and on ts 3 days after I first started.
I have found that 1-5% are asshats and the rest just gamers.

What I will say is now you found TS....
Use the public and NGNG TS servers and meet more people.
There are plenty more fish in the sea :)

Ive encountered very little of this when pugging. Most guys are really nice. Occasionally there will be that douche but I have not seen them too often. Not as often as I have seen them in other games.

I guess TS has got better - used it years ago and it was all early teenage boys pretending they were men, claiming to have been drinking etc. Pretty quickly got bored with that, maybe its time to give it another try!

Edit: Rereading the OPs post and the way he talks suggests he may fit right in with that crowd.... maybe not :/

Well you see we have al grown up and we are all in our thirties and DEFINATELY drinking. Infact there are entire gamese where its
"They are in D6"
"Oh I found this awesome new craft beer"
"LRM on bravo"
"Its pretty good,"
"The lrm?"
"The beer"
"Hold on after this match, calling my wife"
"In trouble?"
"No I going have her get that beer."

So on and so forth.

Same here. Most of the time it isnt bad. Although yesterday I had a similar situation as the OP where I was last guy up, took out four of them by myself and this fella starts slamming me when I couldnt take out a spider in 30 seconds. I simply replied that he was dead and upset. Then came the flurry of cheap insults at the end of which he said "You mad bro" I simply rplied that I was 43yo and as much as he would like for me to be mad, I dont get mad in video games. Extra charges on my electic or gas bill. maybe. But a video game, not happening.

The main difference it absolutely all boils down to is that in a group you get to CHOOSE who you are playing with. If they are an elitist bunch of ALT+F4 noobs trashtalking crap the whole time, you can choose to leave them and find a different group to drop with.

While in a PUG game, you can not CHOOSE who you drop with, so it is a lottery every new round you start. You can end up with 7 complete strangers that are the salt of the earth, perfectly polite and work together without voice coms and can wordlessly support each other without any trouble what so ever.... but you will probably never see them again after that.

Then theer are the other PUG games where everyone runs off in different directions without even using any rudimentary strategies who then follow up by accusing you of not supporting them because you were the only one in the middle of the whole group not moving off on a random tangent (note, that half the team is spread out West of you and the other half is spread out East of you).

Hopefully they don't. Too many of us don't like voice chat.

Yup. i've found most people on the TS, if they are not generally good people, are at least quiet. The ones that are not good people, well there's mute, leave team and ignore for that. And i've only done that to two people since august.

You can't read the chat window anyway. Who cares what people on your pug think. Load up, Shut your trap, and pay attention to the game and not that blue and white blur the devs call a chat window.

Actually, if you read the post more closely, his 'Factor' is referring to how the immature players start name calling, with the extreme cases being those that use bigoted/racist/sexist terms.

It definitely improves the experience to use TS while playing, and has been mentioned before you can gravitate to the 'L337 sqad' or the chill zone depending on how you feel. Being part of a large unit tends to give you greater options regarding the types of drops made.

Personally I loose interest after a couple of hours pugging due to lack of interaction (beyond the pew pew), even if it just slagging off lager in the name of the Cider gods! Or whatever :) Having interaction during play allows me to loose half a day or more to play and not really notice how long I've been going for.

I's horses for courses, and it's always good to hear a dedicated pug finding out about the advantages of coherent teamwork :D

The immature little rats revealing themselves to be closeted children I have encountered were all screaming guildnames in between declaring their incipient outness via poorly used insult.

Ha. we've played together and I think we actually had a match together where we both were like "oops gotta go, see ya!"
