If I were a stakeholder in any of the involved companies I would be pushing for the profits from the mechs bought with MC.
I would want the current content to run it's course, stabilize & balance the game mechanics, then introduce the new stuff- namely CW and the clan invasion/mech availability.

Seems a simple explanation for PGI's timeline. Maximizes profit while stringing us along.

Yes we get more mechs, content and eventually CW with clan mechs. They get time and money. We have to chug along until August 2013. Sadly, I see no chance of a double mech release, Clan/IS mech overlap or a secret mech release.

Also, if a clan mech were released soon, what would that mean? A couple clan mechs mixed in with IS mechs to continue with conquest or assault modes? -don't think so.
Can they organize the game enough to make Clan vs. IS before CW? - Maybe
Base Defense/Assault? Not planned until CW
Dropship Mode? -?

March- Jagermech
April- Highlander
May- Flea
June- Blackjack
July- Orion
August - CW/UI 2.0/Clan mechs

Thoughts from community?

I dont know precisely, but...
how many months have they missed to announce the new mech?

How long do they take to release a mech once they are announced?

With this two numbers we can infere a possible number of clan mechs launched at once on this supposed launch date of CW+Clans

Ex: number of months without new mech announcement = 5
number of month to develop a new mech 6

on august, the number of months without new mech announments would number 11, minus 6 = 5 clan mechs been developed unnoticed for us..

Does iit has sense?

This is assuming there has been one team with all team members working exclusively on cranking out a new battlemech every 6 months. There could be for example, two teams. One developing clan battlemechs and one developing inner-sphere battlemechs. So, presumably there could be an entire "main rooster (haha)" ready to drop "soon™."

It doesn't matter how many people they having making stuff.
They can follow the Battletech canon without a major release of any of its content.
We would get bombarded with News from the Periphery.

A reasonable integration approach would be to leak some clan tech into MechLab during a patch.

Early summer News would be something like "Clan technology recovered and sent to IS scientists."
A later Patch Update would include some Clan ER lasers or some hardware that would not violate the current game balance.

We get our appetites for clan tech fed.

What does the community think will happen with E3 2013 (June) + Clans?
An unveil?
CW phase 1 kick-off?
Clan tech drop?

The Clanmechs are the same mode as the Mapdesign.
CL-Jenner, CL-Raven, CL-Atlas, CL-Awesome, CL-Catapult in Brown, Green or White for Summer, Normal and Winter.

According to previous posts by Bryan they have 6 mechs ready to go already..... No clue why the hell they are waiting to damn long to make announcements and release them because this is getting to be a stinking load of crap having to wait so long for so little. Get your act together PGI, stop following stupid courses like third person view and giving into all the crying babies on the forums and focus on what really needs to get implemented first instead of wasting 2+ months on a wheelchair mode for people that still don't know how to control their mech. Your already losing players PGI and your game isn't even out of development, what's that got to say about what is yet to come?

More thoughts on Clan tech integration:

Clan tech could be rewarded for excellence in battle but under the guise of "Combat Excellence Reward - congratulations you salvaged a _______ ". Use this instead of random patch inclusions.

Equiping clan tech on IS mechs would require a module slot for Omni-Mech Hardware Copmatibility.

Ideally CW would operate similarly to Chromehounds. Certain tech would be made available to players in certain factions. Other tech could be bid on. Other tech awarded for personal or unit activities. Etc...

Keep in mind, that while the Clan invasion starts in August, nothing says that they have to release Clan-mechs as soon as the invasion begins - we may just start to see a trickle of salvaged Clanner weapons for high prices.

... Operation Revivial started this month. Ghost Bear has already taken 3 worlds...

We mostly figure that during the 4th wave is when Community Warfare may start, and Clans get introduced to go with CW.

CW starts rolling out in May.. Clan rollouts are merely speculative as they've kept an extremely tight hat on it. Clan tech could be here tomorrow for all we know.
