It is a pretty strange turn of events after what Sun Tzu did... well, is going to do to you. However, wasn't there a rule against canon unit names? As much as without CW, it kinda falls flat on it's head.

"Is going to do to you", hindsight is a great thing to have, though not very canon either. You can't have it both ways.

With no St Ives in the game either independant or otherwise at present, we base our loyalty on our affiliations and what we know as of the present date i.e. 3050.

House Liao has kindly accepted our unit and considers it like we do as part of the CCAF so until we are informed otherwise this is who we will fight for.

This is unacceptable.

We are a House Liao barracked unit, we drop with them, have a place on their comms, the present lack of CW information makes it almost impossible for a unit like ours to build any affiliation or give us a point to invite our friends from other communities to come and fight with their friends in our unit and enjoy the game.

Why should we be griefed because of future canon history and left to fall between two stools when it comes to supporting this community and adding to the player base?

A: Pretty simple, officially we don’t acknowledge a player’s claim to a canon name. Since many people have canon names, we’re taking a soft approach. Don’t pretend to be that character AKA Role play. Don’t claim ownership. Don’t abuse it. And we won’t bug you. This does not apply to canon units. These are reserved and not available for players to choose or claim ownership over when factions come into play.
