For some reason I can't seem to use any of the modules on my mech? Before the reset I had spent 2 million on one of the zooms, and I don't really care that I didn't get the money back. But how come they are all listed as item locked?

Also what does the command console do? I have it but I can't seem to figure out what it does. If it doesn't do anything doesn't it make more sense for it to be a locked item, instead of the modules which actually do things?

Command module does nothing at present.

To use other modules, you must unlock them in the pilot tree as well as own them. I don't know if that was a change during closed beta, but that's how it's been since I've been here. Make sure you have spent the GXP on unlocking the skill in the pilot tab, then you should be able to buy/use the module on mechs.

If you already own(ed) that module, it is either on a mech or in your inventory, unless you sold a chasis with it still installed.. from what I understand, they don't get stripped like the rest of the gear does, so it may be lost now.. only PGI can tell you that.

Modules are unlocked in the pilot lab with GXP, if you look directly under where you click pilot lab you will see pilot trees, that is where u spend your GXP for modules. Then you can go to the modules tab in mechlab to buy whatever module is unlocked.

Command console does indeed do exactly nothing and its functionality will be added later, although your guess is good as any as to what it will do. I agree you should not even be able to purchase it atm.

No the command console came with a mech so I didn't mind, I just took it off. What about GXP, how do you get that? I play for hours on premium and barely get any

GXP you grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind and grind

Then you have 42050 and no more modules to unlock ;)

you can see how much u have in the bottom right of the main screen to the left of social and the right of c-bills

Also part of the D-DCs cost is that command console

I don't mind giving money to this game because it has so much potential. Plus what person with a decent paying job and no children can't afford MC?

I dont mind giving money to this game either hence my gold logo, but paying for an xp conversion is a waste of MC imo, there is better things to buy and you accumulate GXP for free

The GXP you earn for a game is 5% of the total XP you earn in a game. As TOrmented said it Grind, Grind, Grind.

XP to GXP conversion is MUCH cheaper in MWO than WoT.

I don't do it unless I need to finish off a mech I truly hate so I can sell it.
Once a module is unlocked though, it is unlocked forever, so converting for this purpose might make sense for some people.

Hardly thrown away. Unless you're playing hours and hours every day, it's going to take a VERY long time to get that xp.

On the other hand, bus fare will convert 50k excess XP to GXP and unlock everything of value.
