Ok so on the second srm's will be getting an effective 3/4 reduction in damage.

Since the most common D-DC load out includes.

3xSRM-6's.

What load out will you be using for the month or so it takes to re-balance everything?
Or if you don't use missiles on your D-DC what do you use?

If you are piloting a D-DC and arent using missiles, you are doing it wrong.

Coincidentally, SRMs are simply OP right now. When they are "fixed", they will be fixed across the board, so the splatcats that have been killing you, the Centurians annoying you, etc... will all have an equal reduction in power to match yours. SRMs will be equally viable after they are fixed as they are now on a damage per ton ratio.

Currently yes.

But what loadout will you use when they are nerfed?

I dont use SRMs now frankly.

I pug, and putting your ******* in melee range in a D-DC is suicide, especially with all the Splats running around.

My typical load out is:

(Right now) 2xLRM15 + Art, 2xLL + AC20, ECM
or
LRM20 + Art, 2xLL + Gauss, ECM

Interesting.

I will try some of those. If lrms take a hit as well from the removal of splash damage what will you replace them with?

Missiles will almost certainly be fine without splash damage. But if they're not that's cool too because I'll be too busy doing AC40 drive-bys in my Jagermech to care :)

Nothing. I will keep using missiles, I will simply stop being horrifically OP.

I think they said srms currently do 12.7 int he training grounds and half that on the actual game servers.

So about 6.4 in game.

So if you remove the 3.9 from splash damage that is about half of the current in game damage they deal. So are they currently so op that they will be viable at half their current in game damage.

And no one knows the effect on lrms.

If my numbers are off please correct me.

The damage is on certain robots with borked hitboxes AFAIK. If SRMs were generally doing 6.4 a pop in game to everything, trust me, you'd know :)

(My stats actually have their damage-per-hit a little low, but who knows if that's a splash thing or a stats thing.)

I'm just going off what i was getting from the splash damage thread.

I would like to know if anyone had a good idea of the actual damage. I'm just guesstimating from the devs comments about the training grounds damage discrepancy and the ops training ground damage numbers.
