... but it was a huge indirect nerf to ballistics. Players on high ping (us Oceanic players) now get hit more often by each other and still have a full 1-second delay on all ballistic shots.

I was hoping to invoke a discussion about getting ballistics moved client sided (or atleast, semi client sided like lasers) and/or their fire delay also reduced, so that us with more than 100 ping can actually hit stuff with them.

For those doubting the difference, multiply your ping by 2 and add about 500ms (some client sided base delay); that's about how much time you have to try and fire ahead.

Roughly:
100 ping: 0.6 seconds // americans
200 ping: 0.8 seconds
250 ping: 1 seconds // oceanic players
400 ping: 1.3 seconds // europe/oceanic players

Also, for whatever reason, the visual for ballistics are (very ~2-3 seconds) out of sync with the red hit indicator on the cursor and the enemy mech damage HUD flashing. This is only on 250 ping.

State rewind will be completed for ballistics soon. Until then you just have to deal with it, like the rest of us. But at least it WILL be fixed soon.

They are working on ballistic and missile state rewind. It'll take time, gonna have to deal with it in the meantime.

I hope when/if they implement state rewind for ballistics it will also affect our visuals on the client, because I can imagine that would become very confusing to deal with (oh I missed - I better compensate my aim, wait, I hit, what? Oh, too late, I already compensated).

State rewind is all about matching what the server computes (did it hit? where did it hit?) to what you see on your client.

You know what I found out in training grounds. With convergence being the way it is I suck at hitting mechs with arm ballistics. Torso ok arm gotta keep it dead on for a shot or two if Im moving any other way than straight.

i had 300 ping for 1 week straight, it wasn't that bad.

my ppc wouldn't fire until 1 second AFTER i pressed the button, but none of the enemies seemed to teleport
