The Trebuchet CT is too large relative the rest of the mech. It seems that no matter which way I am facing, the enemy always manages to hit the front CT, even from behind! I was battling a hunchback, I had rear armor but only red internals and I turned around to run away. He shoots with a head medium laser (I had destroyed both his torsos) and finishes me off. With my back turned, which had yellow armor still. I suspect he hit the crack inbetween the gyro which in mechlab is marked as front CT. There should not be a way to hit a mech in the back and have it count as front because the geometry is marked incorrectly.

I've noticed myself getting hit on the front CT at times too when I was facing away. There's something goofy with the hit box.

ITs actually good - because it helps the mech live longer with an XL engine, CT is what you want getting hit rather than rt/lt

Noticed that as well. Trebuchet is one of the safest mechs to use XL engine: in my personal ranking it's second after the Jenner. Third being the Dragon.

You can even put a Gauss rifle on TBT-7K along with XL engine, and you will still get center cored 9 of 10 times. Even if I torso twist and use jumpjets on TBT-5J, i loose my arms, then I loose my legs or the center torso.

Staying with your Assault is a good way to live longer.

The crotch/buttocks area on a mech is considered ct-front. OP, it sounds like you were hit in that spot in the back, in between the legs. Although on the back of the mech, it is still considered ct-front.

The Trebuchet in general is too big. Its as tall as an Awesome. It completely towers over Stalkers and heavy mechs like the Cataphract.

Now I don't have a problem with creative liberties being taken with regard to the sizes of mechs. But when mechs are considerably larger than other mechs in their weight class, they need to be given advantages that offset the drawbacks that come with increased size.

So yeah the Trebuchet definitely needs something...
