Heat and heat sinks are implemented completely backwards really they would need to totally overhaul the systme. Hence why I don't expect to see any change, sadly.

The heat in TT is dumped after the movement/combat phases, so waste heat penalties apply to those phases (combat and movement).

This is a bit like splitting hairs, but IIRC there was also a heat phase if players chose to use it that came at the end of turns. I seem to remember that the heat penalties you suffered were due to your past actions, not those you were immediately doing, but I could be wrong.

What's your source on this? I've seen a good bit of all of the source books and I've never seen anything like that.

... um ... all heat penalties come from your past actions ... even in real time.
