I often find that I have spare slots or spare weight in my builds, if I could run 3 double heat sinks and 10 singles for example or only have my arms in endo-steel then this would let me get the most out a chassis. I understand that this is where some of the games challenge comes from in building mechs but I think this would be a useful tool to have. How do you think it would affect gameplay?

Endo steel automatically goes wherever you don't place stuff.

What I mean I have to have all endo-steel or all Double heats or all FF armor. If I could only have some then it would give more flexibility.

Thats the point though, its not supposed to be THAT versatile, not even for Clan Omnimechs. Mainly just so it doesn't get too annoyingly complicated.
