Can someone look up the last book of Gray Death Legion Saga; Price of Glory or was it D.R.T.
It describes something called combat loss groups
From sarna.net

Combat Loss Grouping-
"The principle that a group of 'Mechs (or other vehicles) engaged in combat will accumulate damage over time, leading to a point where several or all of the group will succumb to damage at the same time. Can also be used to describe the time a unit sustains enough losses that it is no longer a viable fighting force."

Something about groups of mechs take awhile to damage but once one mech goes down, the rest of the mechs go down in rapid succession.
I think it was described in the books as around 5 mins or more. Can someone look it up. (as I can not access my BTech novels) Thanks.

Personally i think it may be a cool idea if there were three kinds of matches:

One: A list of different match types(whether it be CTF, McRugby, player vs player, team vs team, etc)

Two: Something like the mentioned above for the conquest feature of MWO(conquering planets and/or occupying them)

Three: A fully customizable match in which you can make it your own. For example, you host a match and you make it whatever you want, whether you want to duke it out some just one person or a specific set, whichever kind of match whether it be destruction, CTF or whatever.

Note: I'm not suggesting that all this be out at release but over time it would be cool to have options like this.

Fast and quick or slow and painful?

As long as it takes for one side to destroy the other of course. :)

I HATE time limits... :D

Ten to thirty minutes. Most battles should fall within that envelope.
