The devs have stated that you get your money and xp if you die in a match, then quit. You'd get the same as if you'd stayed to the end and looked at the screen, yet I just had 2 matches that I quit from after dying, and once the mechs were finally released I didn't get _any_ change in my cbills. Not sure about xp, but I wrote down my cbills after the second match (at that point I had 2 locked mechs).. went into a 3rd match, and once I got out of the 3rd match both of the other mechs were released, but no cbills were awarded.

So.. looks like either they changed it without telling anyone, or quitting a match grants you exactly zero. I'll test this more since I tend to die early these days (lots of people hiding behind buildings and refusing to engage the enemy once the fighting starts).

EDIT: the last match I dropped looks to have awareded some cbills.. perhaps I mis-timed the others.. like I said, I'll test it a bit and see what it looks like; but I'm pretty sure I did't get anything for those two matches..

Try again and EXIT the game client after the mechs are released from the match.

The GUI does not automatically update the C-bills if you are sitting in the front end looking at the value. It won't change until you refresh the client by exiting, or dropping into another match(which will muck up your payout tracking even further)

You still get credits + xp on a loss, just less than on a win.

well, just had a chance to run with 1 mech in, and he did get 71k .. that's not a loss payout, so I'm guessing it just might be that if your team loses you get nothing..

And redshift, part of the issue was that I had 2 still in game and went with a 3rd (lots of in and out) and when I got out with the 3rd, only the payout from the 3rd was added.. the other two gave nothing (so it's possible they lost).

I guess I'd like clarification, because that's a lot of wasted cbills from losses if you don't get those from quitting early. But, testing (as limited as I can do it) will continue.. odds are, though, I jumped the gun on this post (I do that sometimes ;))

almost all match rewards are paid out whether you win or lose.

Are you dying very early in a match? Are you running right into the enemy and getting your head shot off?

Dying exceptionally early in a match may make you appear to be a farmer or bot, and in that case your match payouts are severely truncated (it doesn't give you any of the base win/loss payout, doesn't give you your share of salvage payout, doesn't give you your share of resource payout.)

If the system thinks you are a suicide farmer it will only pay you for the specific actions you performed while alive (spotting bonuses, damage done, kills&assists performed) which, if you died very early and didn't actually do anything, means you basically get paid 0.

If the matches where you think you did not get paid, how long did you survive? What did you accomplish during the match?

I'm familiar with the zero payout for dying too quickly.. I've seen it (even when I get the top 3 damage, but died first on a full side charge). It's possible I died too quickly in those matches, but that's pretty rare. I've only seen the zero cbills like twice (in 1180 matches).

Every attempt at catching it again is showing a "winning payout" level (60k to 80k).. so it's possible I managed to trip the "maybe you're a bot" code, who knows.

Meh.. I can't delete the post now, so I guess we'll just presume I got over zealous too many times and managed to be thought a bot. Oh well. It seems to be working just fine on all my other "quit before the end" matches, even one I thought they would lose given how spread out they all got. .... I'm done tracking now, and I applogize for bringing it up ;)

What about if you disconnect? I have this happen to me all the time, where I'll be 10 minutes into a gritty drop, doing all kinds of damage and kills, then all of a sudden everybody else's mech just starts walking in place, but I can still walk around and shoot (doing no more damage). So I know I disconnected, and I figure I can just quit the match. But I NEVER get XP or C-bills from those matches. (I'm sure I'm just remembering the times when this happens & I'm racking up points.) Is there anything I can do to prevent this? Should I just wait in the client until it boots me (will it, even?)? This happens to me too much.
