It does not accurately portray how a light handles, due to:
1: severe lack of armor, "regular" commandos have at least 70% more armor than this thing does
2: lack of ammo, you only get 8.3 shots with the srms
3: a flamer, is that there just to show how bad of a weapon it is?!

If it had more armor, it would not be so bad. The compounding problems that begin with the major armor issue build up to the point of making a truly useless 'mech.

I usually am cool with default loadouts, but yeah, the commandos are rough without some customization. After the start of OB, I gave up on them because I was too broke to get one set up right (engine price, ugh). Maybe this will be alleviated by build a trial (light).

its a commando, the only thing worst than it is a spider (in terms of fire power) I'm not sure exactly what your expecting, also all of the trials have pathetically low ammo for their weapons. Look at the dragon you can drive around it has an LRM10, 2medium lasers and an ac2 with 75ish ammo how are you supposed to do anything with that? they could have atleast let the newbies run around with the 5n and its uac5

Commando and Dragon as trial mechs... I think that at this point PGI is just trolling new players :D
