What really and truly is your favorite mech loadout? To be honest I am a 2-D commando guy, enabled with streak srm awesomeness, a good size XL engine (which I don't have yet ) but, what I really want to know is what is popular. My guess is a cataphract, but let it be decided.

I really like my HBK-4P. 9 medium lasers. That's it. No refining, no balancing, no all-round build, just get in there and blast lasers. It packs quite a punch, and can really take a beating for a medium mech.
I also like my Ilya, it is a far better damage dealer than my Hunchback, but I still like it.
