Well put...much as a square is always a rectangle but not vice versa....."golds" are almost always LF, while not all LF are "golds." You'll see a handful of the above on these forums as well, aspiring to be gold and secretly lamenting they missed the chance to spend some money to be part such of an epic fraternity as the LF. I guess I lucked out since I was unable to play the CB (was out of country) but did get the chance to grab the founders pack way back when.

I hate ECM with a passion, and out of 45 mechs I have ONE LRM boat and only two with LRMs mounted at all.

I did actually play the TT, and I have a job so you can sit and spin. I also converted mec to GXP so I would never have to grind the off ravens.

ELO is effective, but they're getting on in years and rely too much on stage effects. But back in the day they couldn't be beat, and anyone who doesn't like "Evil Woman" is probably a communist.

I often see this posted by a member of a losing team, typically after they are one of the first to die.
The last time I saw it, just last night, we were fighting on the Caldera, around the outside of the rim. Buddy takes his stalker, alone and unsupported, across the center of the Caldera. Far from cover. And overheats in the middle.

So he's motionless, overheated, far from cover, in the middle of the damned caldera with the enemy team (mine) arrayed on the rim.

And he cries that his team, which was working around the side in a flanking attempt with cover, let HIM down.


If your team always sucks, be aware that there's a very real possibility that you belong with them.
